Do you or a loved one have a disability and would like to apply for the NDIS? It may seem overwhelming at first, but we can help break down the application process into 4 simple steps.
– First you need to check your eligibility. The NDIS offer a Eligibility Checklist to help you do this. It will ask you questions regarding age, residence, and disability requirements.
– If you are eligible then the next step is to download an Access Request Form (ARF). You can fill this out and then either email, post or lodge in person at your local NDIA Office. You can also phone 1800 800 100 and make a verbal request.
– Once this is completed, the NDIA will let you know if your application was successful. This can take up to 21 business days.
– If your application was accepted, the NDIA will get in touch with you to set up a planning meeting. It’s a good idea to be prepared for this meeting with as much information as possible. This handy NDIS Planning Checklist can help guide you through.
